As the third weekend of the month continued to enjoy superb weather, a group of five friends from Oslo arrived (despite some Air France disruption to their flight!) on a short visit to sample the delights of the region.
Their program included a a short tour of the Médoc, a visit to St Emilion that included a wine tasting and tour at Chateau Fonplégade, followed by lunch at Chateau Candale.
Saturday morning was spent buying cheese in the Marché Capucins, and later browsing the stalls in St Michel. Lunch at the Brasserie Bordelaise was followed by a short tour of the city centre.
The highlight of their day, however, was an evening cookery class held at the St James hotel in Bouliac, hosted by chef Mme Célia Giraud.
